Fun Stuff!!

Good Morning! I wanted to show you what I've been working on. A good high school friend of Bill's lost his mother a few years ago and found this 30's quilt in her stuff. It had been hand guided machine quilted (and we think we're doing something new?), but never bound. As you see, I'm sure all those little scallops were the reason why. Anyway, I promised to bind it for him never realizing that it would be YEARS away that I would find the time! Let me assure you, I NEVER want to bind that many scallops again! But I LOVE the fans done in the print/solid. Think there's a new feedsack pattern there? Without the scallops, of course!

I also want to show you the wonderful pincushion I got from Janice Bohannon of BluebirdMountain on Etsy. I just had to have it when I saw that it was made from the pink version of the bee feedsack in my Bees Knees collections! How cool is that??!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week. It's hot and humid here! Typical Tulsa weather. Blessings~

Hey I want one of those pincushions too! I have a feedsack quilt I made quite like the one in the picture. Maybe I'll have to put it on my blog this week. That one you bound is awesome. Totally unbelievable. Scallops and all.

Beautiful quilt. Fans are one of my favorites. I've never tackled scallops, yet. It's on the "to do" list.

I love the fanpattern. I think that would be a great pattern for my collection of 30' fabrics. And, I love the fabric and the pincushion. I've never made before but I think I need to try one now. Love your new header on your blog.

I love that quilt you're working on. It is so kind of you to do that for your friend. My Great Grandmother made that same pattern and it lays on my mom's bed now. It was done with a peach background fabric.
The pincushion is adorable. I love that shade of pink.
Thank you so much for sharing.
