My Other Collections

We've kind of been thinking about whether we'd like to sell the house and move to smaller quarters. It appeals to me a lot. But I sure have a lot of stuff I'd have to shed. You've seen my feedsacks and vintage stuff. Unfortunately that's not my only addiction. Here are a few pics of other stuff I have collected. EBay may get even busier when I get this stuff going!

Here's my collection of Fire King and other Jadite:

Here's more Jadite and other Fire King stuff. Sad to say I actually have more than is shown in these pictures!
Here's some of my McCoy Pottery. Love the colors!
And here's some of my vintage Fiesta and Lipton Teapots. Love these colors, too!
So you see, I have a LOT of STUFF! And this doesn't even count all the Sewing Collectibles and other items packed away in closets that need to be sold! But it will be fun and it'll take years, I'm sure. Fortunately, we're not in any hurry to leave! Could you tell I used to be an antiques dealer? There's still nothing I enjoy more than shopping for this stuff and I still can't pass up a bargain!  Have a great week~

Oh, Glenna, you've got it bad! I spent so many years without things I wanted and even a few I needed that when I could - I went a little wild, too. I'm trying to be good now, though. Honest. Really. I am.

Oh I am so glad to hear from you, I was worried, glad your mom is still on the right path and that you got to get a way if for only a while. If you do decide to sell more on eBay you know who, will be first in line. Take care!

Oh dear...gorgeous things but all I can imagine is the dusting! :o) I told my husband if we win the lottery I'm downsizing!

You must have been dreaming about rick rack. I'm thrilled to have a collection now.

Glenna, I am so glad that you have posted. I have checked on your several times. I knew that you were probably helping your mom. I am sending good thoughts your way. I loved seeing your collections. I think we do have a "disease" when we collect various items. But it is fun!

I am SURE you wouldn't have trouble unloading. All your things are so beautiful. It is hard to see parents go in that slow decline thing. Sad. I've gotta go check out your listings.

It's not easy when you become the "mom" and your mom becomes the "daughter" - life reversal is so hard. Just remember all the wonderful good days....

When I was a "kid", the "Coffee Cup Restaurant" in my hometown used the light green cups and plates - could they be the same as what you've collected? The restaurant is long gone - wonder what happened to the "china"?

Hi Glenna, I love looking at all of your collections. We must be kindred spirits! Besides the feedsacks, I also collect vintage pottery like Fiesta, Apple, Flow Blue, and such. Or maybe I could be called a 'Horder'! Loved looking at your wonderful sewing room. pssst... it's much neater than mine! Ha!! Kay

Glenna,
Your pictures are beautiful. I know what you are going through with your Mom, take care of yourself too.
If your Mom is up to it ask all the questions you can think of, where she met your Dad, where her Mom met Grandpa-where they married Great grandparents etc. and write it down. I am into genealogy and there are SO many questions I wish I had asked. Hope to see you at a quilt store. Take care.

Am so loving your collections of vintage china, so beautiful.

I also collect vintage china too, but my shelves are not as tidy, you have inspired me!
I so would love to move too, but I wouldn't know where to start with all my collections!
