Happy New Year!

Christmas was a blur at the Hailey household this year! Right after the power came back on we were off to our daughter Kim's house near Oklahoma City. She had a long needed hysterectomy and we did our best to corral our 4 year old grandson, Cameron. Brought him home with us for a couple of days to let her rest and let him "camp out" in Mimi and Poppy's bedroom at night. He thought that was great!

I'm still at work on the last Bees Knees quilt. Hope to have it finished today. Then photo and get the pattern finished. I thought all my deadlines would be long gone by now, but no! It seems like there's always one sneaking around the corner.

I hope everyone had a lovely and meaningful Christmas and is looking forward to a wonderful New Year. I'm hoping to really expand the website this year and include lots more stuff. Let's see how much actually gets done!

3 1/2 Days Without Power!

Boy! 3 1/2 days without power sure puts your priorities in order! We got by with a gas stove, gas hot water and a gas fireplace. What would we do without gas?? But I missed my TV, reading by lamp and my sewing machine. Your whole day is spent trying to figure out how you're going to stay warm and what you're going to eat. Makes me appreciate how difficult the homeless have it.

Now to get back to life as usual. I have one more new pattern to get out and I'll be done with that for the year. Next week our daughter is having a hysterectomy so we'll be at her house helping with Cameron. He's 4 now and a handful. But what a blessing he is, too!

Hope your days are not too hectic. Be sure to slow down and enjoy the season, too. Blessings to all---

Welcome to my new Blog!

Because I've made so many wonderful friends through my website, I decided to open my world a little bit wider for anyone who might be interested!

I won't be boring you with updates every day, but I'll let you know when interesting things come along or when I need some advice about something I'm working on.

I look forward to sharing more about what's going on in my world of quilting (and more) with you. Please feel free to comment about anything you'd like to. Thanks for checking in!
