Loser Monday and My New Cabinet!

Guess what I got?? WII Fit!! I am SOOOOOO excited. I decided that I had to get more serious about exercise and Kim (DD) had one at Christmas that looked really fun so I rushed home to go shopping and pick one up. Yeah right!

Guess what I found out? So did everybody else!! I've been checking here and there since Christmas and nope, they just sold the last one. So Bill was going to Sam's and I said to check there (never expecting the would have one, either). So he asks the guy if they have any and the guy says "GO NOW to this aisle!! We just got some in this morning! GO NOW!!" So off he went and voila'! Here is my WII Fit!! Now I just have to figure it out!!

Oh, yes! And I lost another 1/2 pound last week! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! At least I'm making progress.

OK--More news!!

You know I told you in the post about my sewing room that Bill was going to build me a cabinet for my ironing board? Well, here it is!! I LOVE it. I'm sure I'll find all kinds of stuff to add to it, but I got a little more stuff off the floor for now. It is SO cool!!

I spent several hours playing in my newly organized room (OK-so I'm still not done) and I came across an old quilt that gave me great inspiration so I pulled out some of the fabric that I bought in Houston last fall and I can't wait to get started!! I am SO excited to sew again!! I'll let you in on a sneak peek as I get some of it made.

Hope you all have a great week. We're supposed to get freezing rain this afternoon and tomorrow so I'll be huddled in my room upstairs and wait it out. Please pray that the power doesn't go out again like it did a year ago! I would be so sad if I couldn't sew!

Blessings~

You KNOW you're the coolest grandma on the block if you've got a Wii Fit!! :)

I hope we don't get the nasty ice as well, but it's not a good sign if the weatherman is out stocking up at the grocery store. (One of the weathermen on TV is a teacher in the Sunday School class we direct.) Last year we broke down and bought a generator (with professional install, which was way more costly than the generator). Not exactly the Merry Christmas to us present I had envisioned (not to mention Merry Christmas to us for the next 5 years or so, haha), but I'm grateful to have it regardless. Here's hoping we don't have to use it!

Congrats on the weight loss, that is fantastic! I am sure the Wii fit will help with your exercise routine and should be fun! I love the cabinet that your husband built. Doesn't it feel good to be organized and enthusiastic about sewing?

My son has a WII fit and he loves it. I don't ever think about borrowing it from him. Hmmmm.

I'll pray that you don't get ice and you can pray for me that I don't get ice. It would be terrible to be stuck inside and can't sew!

i love it when inspiration just slaps you in the face, it's wonderful! i'm glad you found a wii fit too - my friend happened across 2 (can you believe it) and snagged them both (one for me and one for another friend) and i've done it every day since. the balance thing makes me feel... hmmm, ungraceful? "do you have problems tripping over your own feet?" the wii can be mean ("oh" when you step on), but it's quite user friendly.
and i loooooove that cabinet. i can't wait until we settle down and i can have a craft room to have some wonderful furniture like that... hopefully my husband will help me build it. :)

Hia Glenna congratulations on your Wii Fit and losing weight.

Love the new ironing cabinet- so practical with fabric being that shape rather than the usual ironing board for shirts shape. That does annoy me when I'm ironing yardage.

How wonderful that you are inspired to sew again. When we lived in the mountains I'd resort to my 1907 treadle machine when the power went. (This was after the humiliating process of working out that I couldn't use the spare machine, the washing machine, the TV, computer or kettle.) LOL Half a brain and I'd be dangerous.

Love, love, love the ironing station! I'm going to keep a copy of this post in my inspiration book for when I have a space that I can call my own. Right now I have to use the dining room.

And I am just drooling over your fabric stash in the post below!
