Monday Update

Well, I have to say that there is no weight dropped this week. I forgot to weigh on Friday and after attending a Birthday Party on Saturday night and a Super Bowl Party on Sunday, I weighed the same (maybe 1/2 pound more!) that I did last week!! So this week I'm doing damage control!!

I've decided that I have a very boring life. I cannot think of one thing interesting enough to tell you today. All I do is work and eat and sleep. I did get to play in my room on Saturday and got a tiny start on that quilt I told you I was excited about making. I'll show you a picture of the quilt that inspired me and then you can see the finished product whenever I'm done. Here it is:

When I am designing a quilt, it speaks to me as I go. That's one reason I have always found it difficult to computer generate a quilt. Already since I started this one, I have changed it 2 or 3 times. Hopefully for the better! I'll let you be the judge when you see it.

I haven't shown you a Gallery quilt lately. Here's one from a fellow Tulsan, Valerie Fischer. We have never met except on the blog, but it was really fun being in touch with a neighbor! She used my Tin Star Cowboy pattern and added those fabulous guitars along with the Roy Rogers fabrics to make a Christmas present for a Roy Rogers fan. I think it is wonderful!! Thanks for sharing, Valerie!!

Well, folks, I guess that's all the excitement I can handle on this Monday morning! I'm going to do some laundry and go upstairs and sew a little more. Have a wonderful week!

How fun to see the Roy Rogers quilt on there! It turned out even cuter after being quilted -- but I forgot to take a picture of the finished thing, oops...:)

I love the old quilt you are using for inspiration.

Well I'm in the same boat and no worries, I think sometimes we expect too much. Zero is good!

First thank you so much for the fabrics. PEOPLE you have no idea what a deal Glenna is offering for this top of the line fabric, go see it at her etsy shop!!
There is nothing wrong with zero, especially if you said you had a different kind of weekend. Keep up the good work!

Have no fear Glenna, this week will be better on the weight loss front! I can feel it in my bones, literally. Can't wait to see what you are working on.

Hello again Glennna!

You never know where you might find your inspiration! I can't wait to see your final creation.

The little "cowboy" quilt is too cute.

Thanks for sharing! Keep up the good work you will see the results soon!

I love those red white and green quilts from decades ago. Can't wait to see what it has inspired in you. :-)
And I feel the same way.. nothing interesting and blogworthy ever happens here.. and it's hard to think of something to post. But I think you are doing a terrific job.. and sometimes just showing some of your lovely fabric prints can brighten someone's day without saying a word. :-)

gorgeous vintage inspiration quilt. and given 2 days of splurging, even if it is a 1/2 lb gain, you're still doing well!

What a lovely quilt- almost like 1950s lips in red. :-) Very pretty. I'm looking forward to your take on it.

I'm sure you will get back on track with your weight loss. What's your fave wii fit programme so far?

I'm admiring your will power and sticking power, even when the weight doesn't come off.

Love that quilt Glenna. Nothing is more satisfying than an antique quilt I think. I have a hard time leaving them in the antique stores when I see them just lying there. I'm sure it would be very satisfying for hunka if I would just keep on walking. lolol
Get back on track with that loser stuff. lol You can do it. Darn Super Bowl got in the way.
